Pain can be describes as an unpleasant sensation in the body caused by an injury or malfunctioning of particular system within the body. Here are some common herbal remedies used for natural pain relief

Ginger:  Ginger has been used medicinally for thousands of years in Ayurvedic medicine in India as a natural anti-inflammatory food.  Ginger helps relieve nausea, arthritis, headaches, menstrual cramps, muscle soreness. rheumatism, swollen veins, muscle pains, back aches and sprains.

Turmeric: Turmeric is a perennial herb grown mainly in Asia and used for culinary as well as medicinal purpose. Turmeric is proven to be a natural painkiller and  has been used arthritis, heartburn , joint pain, stomach pain, Crohn's disease  and to reduce inflammation. It's unclear how turmeric works against pain or inflammation, but its activity may be due to a chemical called curcumin, which has anti-inflammatory properties.

Andrographis : Andrographis is a plant that is native to South Asian countries such as India and Sri Lanka. The leaf and underground stem are used to make medicine.  One of the Siddha herbs used in pain management. Treats Viral infection, swellings, fever, liver ailments, arthritis and other vatha ailments. Study reveals that active constituent ‘Andrographolide’ present in the herb is responsible for its analgesic, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory action. Andrographis is also used for a wide assortment of other conditions. It is used for digestive complaints including diarrhea, constipation, intestinal gas, colic, and stomach pain; for liver conditions including an enlarged liver, jaundice, and liver damage

Ashwagandha ( Indian Ginseng): Ashwagandha (also known as Withania somnifera) is a powerful herb that has been used for hundreds of years to treat a wide variety of conditions in the traditional form of Indian medicine known as Ayurveda. Effective against pain and swellings. Plant extract during studies and research has shown lowering of nitric oxide in inflammed tissues which led to decrease in pain and swelling.

Cardamom: Cardamom is a spice that originated in India, Nepal, and Bhutan. In India, cardamom was traditionally considered as an herb and was one of the ingredients in Ayurveda. Muscle pain, joint pain, inflammed back, swollen joints can be treated with this herb due to its Anodyne property.
