The technology of this drink has been perfected at Dairy Technology Division of NDRI and is being launched with the help of an entrepreneur. This has been possible by the efforts of Business Planning & Development (BPD) Unit of NDRI which encourages young entrepreneurs to take up the technologies developed at NDRI and test the same under field conditions. The technology of “Whey Protein Enriched Drinks” has been adopted by Mr. Mohak Kabaria, a mechanical engineer from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Under the continuous guidance of Dr. A. K. Singh, Principal Scientist, Dairy Technology Division and his team members, Mr. Mohak has developed these drinks. Drinks have been made in three different variants which are Jaljeera, Imli & Lemon. All the three drinks are fortified with high quality protein and essential minerals. Apart from the mouthwatering sensation, protein improves immunity, boosts up energy & reduces stress and offers several other benefits. Jaljeera aids in digestion, removes gas, relives constipation, removes acidity and also prevents heat stroke. Imli improves skin health, provides iron content and anti-oxidant, boosts metabolism, anti-aging and many more. Lemon is a good source of vitamin C, which boosts our immunity.
