Her name is Sophia. She looks a bit like Audrey Hepburn and gives facial expressions while talking. She has an answer for every question. As of October 25, Sophia is the first robot in history to be a full citizen of a country.

Sophia was developed by Hanson Robotics, led by AI developer David Hanson. It spoke at this year's Future Investment Initiative , held in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh.

The 14-inch tall AI robot was developed by David Hanson, the founder of Hong Kong-based Hanson Robotics. The one of its kind humanoid was designed to make over 50 facial expressions as users ask about the weather, traffic and basic trivia.  After working at Disney as one of its “Imagineers,” Dr. Hanson aspired to create genius machines that are smarter than humans and can learn creativity, empathy and compassion—three distinctively human traits Hanson believes must be developed alongside and integrated with artificial intelligence for robots to solve world problems too complex for humans to solve themselves.
